The purpose of this plug is to stop any seepage while the heli is in transit or at home.
The plug is made out of a piece of aluminium from the scrap box.
A taper was put on one end which helps with insertion, the other end has a knurled finish to make it look better and assist in removing it from the exhaust. It also has a spigot with a cross hole drilled for a piece of bright colour cord or similiar.
Mine has a clasp attached so that I can clip it to the tool box so I know where it is.
It is a simple thing to make if you are proficient with a lathe and it costs next to nothing as it was made from scrap material.
